Bluetech is excited by its latest appointment as Canal and River Trust Liaison Consultant relating to the development known as Bridgewater Triangle Bridge & River Wall Works. The project involves the Replace the existing E48 Bridge prior to the development of the Bridgewater Triangle site and upgrade the Bridgewater Road approach, together with the re-opening of the 8c towpath (in accordance with Olympic Waterways Legacy agreements), river wall replacement and the installation of an environmental berm within the river.
To enable the Warton Road development, a replacement river wall, together with environmental improvements on water, is required which will enable the high level public route along the eastern edge of the main Bridgewater scheme.
Bluetech was chosen to advise the design/development teams and to liaise with CRT and provide the necessary technical submissions to facilitate the works and gain Trust approval ahead of a complex construction phase.
Bluetech has commissioned specialist consultants to carry out dip surveys within the river and is advising on Site Investigation works needed to inform both the temporary and permanent works design. We are already embedded in the preliminary discussions around risk, phasing of the works and in discussions with the Trust to secure the partial and full closures necessary to expediate the works on site.
